I’m Barry, a Bowling Green native, WKU alum, and former educator who believes a good home inspection should leave people informed, not overwhelmed.

I’m genuinely fascinated by homes—the way they’re built, the stories they hold, and the clues they hold when something is amiss. Every inspection feels like solving a puzzle, and I love helping people understand what I’m seeing and why it matters. I take this work seriously because I know how much a home means, both emotionally and financially. When I inspect a house, nothing means more to me than providing you with a top-quality experience from start to finish.

I spent 18 years teaching at WKU, which means clear explanations, organized reporting, and dealing with folks from all walks of life come naturally to me. At BK Inspections, I bring the same thinking, rigor, and attention to detail to every home I inspect. I don’t just inspect your home, I teach it to you.

Before teaching, I worked in concrete and later in tower lighting, so I’m perfectly comfortable getting my hands dirty. Whether it’s footers, slabs, wiring, or crawling through spaces most homeowners rarely see, I’m right at home. I enjoy every part of it!
